A 360° course; we’ll start with understanding the social trend of fashion; we’ll talk about make -up decade for decade, famous stylists and the modern century. We’ll move to style’s details of the runways and the collections, keeping an eye on both the past and the present in order to anticipate the future. CAPSULE 1 From Lagerfeld and Saint Laurent – Haute Couture and Prêt-à-porter in transit between the 1960s and 1970s in the Paris of high fashion.

CAPSULE 2 Cristobal Balenciaga: the greatest of couturiers – The difficult development of Haute Couture during and after World War II. Relationships with the greats of the mid-20th century, Chanel and Dior, and the emergence of new talents under Cristobal’s wing: Huber de Givenchy, Oscar de la Renta, Emanuel Ungaro, Mila Schon.

CAPSULE 3 – included in the basic course. The forerunners of Made in Italy – Rosa Genoni, Futurism, the new inventors of Italian fashion: from Elsa Schiapparelli and Ferragamo, through Germana Maruccelli and the Fontana sisters, where it all began.

CAPSULE 4 – included in the basic course. The golden years of Made in Italy and the arrival of the 1980s, luxury and the designers of the new fashion marketing: from Krizia and Missoni to Armani, Versace, Ferrè, Moschino and Romeo Gigli.

Carolina Scalise
Graduated in Culture and Technique of Costume and Fashion. High school graduated in Knitwear‘s expert sample in the institution “Carpi Formazione” and in Industrial dress designer in the institute “Carlo Secoli”. During the past 15 years she has managed to supervise the entire development sample’s processes as expert coordinator in both fabric and sample’s field.

She worked for single-brand and for third-party industries, which gave her the skills to evaluate every aspect of the product, from different points of view.

Since the beginning she has co-worked with all figures of the knitted product: sample’s specialist, fashion designer, model maker, manufacturer, and programmers.

She has organisational and communication skills, relevant to: the managing of different customers; the personalisation of products according to different requests and the communication with providers and students.

She likes her job as a teacher and giving her knowledge in a unique and technical field such as fashion. This forementioned world is constantly changing, but in its evolution, it always needs specialist figures who know the product to help people tell their story through dresses.
